Ferromanganese

Ferromanganese is an alloying ferroalloy with manganese content in it from 70% to 90%, sulfur not more than 6%, phosphorus up to 0.5%. Depending on the chemical composition, GOST 4755-91 provides for the production of ferromanganese of three main types: low-carbon, medium-carbon and carbon. Low carbon ferromanganese contains at least 85% manganese and less than 0.5 carbon. This product is used in metallurgy to improve the corrosion resistance and tensile strength of steel, improve its hardness and increase its density. This ferroalloy is also used in ferrous metallurgy to purify metals by deoxidizing them and to treat electrodes during welding. The use of ferromanganese for the smelting of steels with a low carbon content is also justified. Our company produces this ferroalloy in strict accordance with the provisions of the specified GOST, namely in pieces weighing no more than 20 kilograms or in crushed form. We also sell products with different contents of manganese and carbon.
